Congratulations! How are you feeling? Nervous? Excited? Overwhelmed? Probably a mixture of the above and then some. Pregnancy brings with it lots of questions and choices and how you will feed your baby is often right up there.

1 to 1 Consultations

An antenatal consultation is a fantastic way to get breastfeeding off to a great start, whether it's your first or tenth baby. It's a chance to find out how breastfeeding works, how to establish breastfeeding and how to check whether breastfeeding is going well. We'll also discuss when you may need to seek support and ensure you are confident on where you can access support. If this isn't your first pregnancy, this is also a good opportunity to talk through your previous experiences with breastfeeding. You'll come away from the session with your questions answered and feeling prepared for your baby's arrival.​​

Antenatal Consultation (Video Call) £45 for up to 1 hour​

Antenatal Consultation (Home Visit) £70* for up to 1 hour

* For locations further than 15 miles from Dawlish, there is an additional charge of 90p per mile (45p there and back)

Following an antenatal consultation, I offer a 10% discount on postnatal consultations in the first six months after your baby arrives.

Breastfeeding Packages

I also offer antenatal and postnatal packages that include an antenatal consultation, postnatal consultation and two weeks follow-up support by email. These are a great option to prepare you before baby's arrival and to ensure that you get breastfeeding off to a good start once they are here.

'Preparing to Breastfeed' Group Workshops

​​

I run regular 'Preparing to Breastfeed' workshops for small groups via Zoom. These workshops are 2 hours long and cost £45. I encourage you to attend with your partner or support person to really get the most out of your session. They are a great way to find out about breastfeeding and to answer any questions you may have. They are also a good opportunity to meet other parents-to-be.

Workshops cover:​

• How breastfeeding works

   

• Positioning and attachment

   

• What to expect in the first few days and early weeks

   

• How to tell if breastfeeding is going well

   

• Common problems and how to deal with them

   

• Expressing, combi-feeding and bottle feeding

   

 

Although each workshop follows this basic plan, I adapt the content depending on the needs and circumstances of the attendees at each session.
